She has had type 1 juvenile diabetes since she was seven years old and having diabetes when your an active 16-year-old girl is hard. Not always feeling good, or having to stop what you're doing to treat it slows her down, especially when it's a four-times-a-day, thing.

My son Srinivas is my hero, He has had juvenile diabetes since he is 10 months old. Now 11yrs old Srinivas never complains or feels sorry for himself, He doesn't let diabetes affect his life. He plays all sports and is a great Tennis player! He is a role model for kids and my hero!
